How much do custom medals cost?
The honest answer is that it depends on quantity, size, delivery speed and where the medals are going. Here is how each one moves the price, and where to see real numbers.
Quantity matters most
Setting up a production run costs roughly the same whether you order 100 medals or 1,000, so the price per medal falls as the order grows. Ordering for next year's event at the same time is a common way to bring the unit price down.
Delivery speed is the next biggest factor
Air freight is quick but costs more per medal. From 400 medals, sea freight becomes available and is much cheaper per medal, though it takes around 12 weeks. If your event is more than three months away, sea freight is usually the best value choice.
Size and style
Printed custom medals come in 50mm, 60mm and 70mm. Bigger medals cost a little more. Premium bespoke medals with custom shapes, cut-outs or moving parts cost more again, because each one needs its own mould.
Watch for hidden extras
